Want to live a more fulfilling life? The internet is full of advice. But finding research-backed advice can get tricky.

It’s there that The Science of Happiness podcast comes in. Co-produced by PRX and UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center, the popular podcast explores science-based strategies for cultivating a happier life. His new series, Happiness Breakguides listeners through a practice they can follow for a few minutes during their day.

Podcast host and psychologist Dacher Keltner curates pocket playlists in hopes of encouraging listeners to dig deeper into topics like fear of failure, gratitude and optimism. We talked to him about what motivated the Happiness Breakwhy he thinks wellness audio content has become so popular and how he’s making time for his own playlist.

For people unfamiliar with your award-winning podcast, The Science of Happiness, Can you tell us a bit about your work and how you got into the audio space?

In education The Science of Happinesse in college and other settings for 25 years, it has become very clear to us here at UC Berkeley just how hungry people are for actionable knowledge about meaningful living. One of the best ways to dive into this knowledge is through conversation. This is how people have learned happiness for millennia – simply by telling stories, listening, and being with other people. And so The Science of Happiness the podcast was born out of that sense – which is if we bring really interesting and diverse voices to our show who are of different ages and have different perspectives, and they experience a practice supported by the research, and that we supplement this with the latest scientific data – listeners will be really interested.

How the new series Happiness Break come into being and how does it differ from The science of happiness? Can you give a quick overview of what listeners can expect?

I was brought to teach The Science of Happinesss to resident doctors at a hospital, where there is usually a lot of stress due to the pandemic. This young resident said to me, “You know, I love it, but I only have a few minutes a day. I’d like something that I could just hear on my phone as I walk to my next patient.

This idea kept coming back to the producers of The Science of Happiness and myself. People are on the move. They have these little moments in the day: maybe they’re waiting to pick up their kids, or waiting for someone for a meeting, or just sitting outside. They would like this content, but they would like it to be quick or brief. So we decided to create the Happiness Break, [which guides listeners to] practice for a few minutes. It’s tailor-made for our busy lives, and it delivers what we’ve been offering for The Science of Happiness podcast in a quick and usable form.

There’s a great list of guest hosts in this new series! With so many fantastic wellness experts and strategists, how did you select them?

We certainly have our list of trusted voices – people like Kristin Neff, who pioneered the literature on self-compassion – but what’s true of The Science of Happiness podcast, have we really tried to diversify our offerings to include other cultural traditions [relevant to more meaningful living]. We also draw on practices and insights on how we find optimistic pathways in the climate crisis. We hope to broaden the appreciation of listeners’ happiness in this way.

Wellness-focused podcasts and audio apps have become hugely popular in recent years. Why do you think there is such an appetite for audio advice around wellness?

Some of the oldest questions you find in written records, in spiritual and ethical traditions, in novels, paintings and music are: What does it mean to be alive? How can I find meaning? How can I find happiness? It is a deep human interest, to find happiness.

The audio space, applications, podcasts and courses are based on this human tendency. They are adapted in many ways to our specific cultural moment. There may be a young person exercising and wanting to listen to something, or commuting, or looking for 20 minutes during a lunch break to get out and find some meaning. The podcasts, apps, and courses you find really match those interests. I also think they have been helpful to people during the pandemic and these difficult times.

There’s a lot of background research and preparation that goes into producing each episode, and you’ve included articles you and your team have read in the Pocket collection you’ve created for Happiness break. What kind of insights can listeners expect from this collection?

One of the things we hope to cultivate is a deeper search for knowledge about the topics we cover, such as gratitude, fear, kindness, and stress management. So we’ve curated little pockets of information that guide our listeners on this journey.

So if we cover immersion in nature, they will learn more from the articles on the benefits of being in nature. And then there are links to other podcasts we respect and personal stories from people who show listeners what we built our podcast on. We are convinced, like great predecessors like William James, that personal stories can say as much about a phenomenon like happiness as any scientific discovery.

With happy break, listeners have the opportunity to be guided through research-based strategies for a happier, more meaningful life. As a psychologist, why do you think it’s important to explain the science and research behind why these practices actually work?

I think there are several reasons for this. The first reason is that people love science and they love finding interesting studies and twists on how one might study something like forgiveness or apologies.

The second reason is related to trust. There’s a lot about wellness and a lot of it is of mixed utility, so science is one way to trust things, at least to some listeners in our world.

The third reason is that the right kind of science informs you about the process of a phenomenon. For example, when you discover the science related to how immersion in nature affects your physiology, you will know that it has a direct effect on your vagus nerve and certain activation patterns in your cortex. This discovery helps give you insight, like, “Wow, when I was walking around the Rose Garden, the sights, colors, sounds, and scents just made me feel better about the world.” Science gives you a lens to understand this.

What articles and videos are in your pocket waiting to be read/watched right now?

I catch up on long reads [mentioned] in the podcasts that move me. There will be half an hour of like, “I really want to read what’s happening in the January 6 hearings,” and half an hour of my reading of what I like. The New Yorker is interesting because even the detective and political stories, they’re so well written, it’s a treat.

At Pocket, we help people find time and space to dig into the stories that matter. Where and when do you catch up on long reads and podcast episodes that interest you?

I think one of the interesting things for listeners to think about is, “How can we fit these elements into our busy lives and into the rhythms of our day?” I check things in the morning, as my coffee starts to take effect, and before I’m ready to work hard on writing or research. And then I also do it at night, before I go to sleep. I really encourage our listeners to find a few times in the day when it becomes a regular part of the rhythm of their day.

10 years of fascinating reading

From the best article of each year to how Pocket readers predicted the future, these collections are sure to pique your interest.

Rugged smartphones are big, bulky and sometimes a little bulky and that’s all the Doogee S98 is but also so much more. Good performance isn’t just measured by the speed of a phone or the number of megapixels the cameras have and while the S98 doesn’t rival the raw power of a flagship, it does deliver ruggedness and endurance to a affordable price.

Doogee S98 complies with IP68/IP69k and MIL-STD-810G standards. Picture Doogee

The S98 has an industrial style that doesn’t stray from the Doogee design language we’ve seen on several of the companies’ previous smartphones. Although not everyone appreciates the small screws on the side rails or the large rubber bumpers in the corners, everyone will appreciate how sturdy the S98 is, including the Corning Gorilla Glass that protects the screens. front and rear. Yes, the S98 has a rear screen, but more on that later.

At 320g, the S98 is heavy and chunky at 15.5mm thick.

It has a large 6.3-inch screen with a dewdrop cutout for the 16 MP front selfie camera.

Under the hood, there’s a massive 6,000mAh battery with a 33W charger that comes in the box for quick recharging. It’s also nice to see 15W wireless charging present.

The left side has a dual SIM card slot which is protected by a gasket around the tray. Doogee provides a small plastic level tool to open it. On the same side is a custom “easy key” that can be configured to open an app, start a screen recording or take a screenshot with a single, double or triple tap.

Doogee S98 has a large 6000mAh battery for up to three days of use. Picture: Doogee

On the right side are the power, volume up and down buttons as well as a fingerprint reader which I found needed to be done a few times to make it more reliable.

On the bottom edge is a thick rubber flap that protects and seals the USB-C port and a mono speaker that produces decent volume but not-so-great sound quality.

The S98 has been rigorously tested to comply with IP68/IP69k and MIL-STD-810G standards, which means it’s drop-proof from a height of 1.5m, and waterproof to a depth of 1.5 m and protected from dust.

Hardware and performance

The S98 comes with 8GB of RAM and a generous 256GB (UFS 2.2) of storage with the option to expand it further with a microSD card up to an additional 512GB. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G96 processor and Arm Mali-G57 GPU. The G96 is a midrange processor that doesn’t come close to the performance of a modern flagship. That means apps will launch a little slower and switching between apps won’t be as smooth as on more expensive handsets with faster chipsets.

Unfortunately, there’s no 5G support but you do get NFC for contactless payments.

Cameras

Doogee S98 has three rear cameras. Picture: Doogee
Doogee S98 has three rear cameras. Picture: Doogee

The S98 comes with some interesting cameras including the 64MP main camera, 20MP night vision camera, 8MP wide angle and finally, the 16MP selfie shooter.

The night vision camera performs well and captures unusual black and white infrared images. The results are interesting and I can see someone with a creative touch putting it to good use.

The main camera is able to capture excellent detail with good color accuracy in good light. In low light, image quality drops and motion blur can become an issue.

You can also use Night Mode and while that produces crisp, noise-free images, the sacrifice is the aggressive noise reduction which also reduces image detail.

The 8MP wide-angle camera is fine in good light but isn’t as good as the main shooter in terms of overall image quality.

Video capture is limited to 2K and quality is good in good light.

Attach

Doogee S98 has a 6.3 inch large screen. Picture: Doogee
Doogee S98 has a 6.3 inch large screen. Picture: Doogee

The 6.3-inch front display is an FHD+ LCD panel with a peak brightness of 480 nits. It comes with one screen protector pre-installed and one extra in the box. Viewing angles are excellent for an LCD screen and colors are vibrant. It’s one of the best screens I’ve seen on a phone in this price range, but don’t expect the quality you can get from a high-end OLED panel in terms of contrast, brightness and these inky blacks.

Rear display

Doogee S98 has two screens. Picture: Doogee
Doogee S98 has two screens. Picture: Doogee

One of the selling features of the S98 is the rear circular display which can show the time with a selection of three clock faces, answer a call or control media playback. While it’s a neat party trick and looks cool, functionally it’s very limited. Maybe over time Doogee might improve its usability through firmware or software updates, but for now that’s not a reason to buy this phone.

Verdict

The Doogee S98 is a rugged phone in every sense of the word with great features for those who need a phone that can take a lot of jolts. The battery is good enough to last at least two or even three days for average users. Overall performance is adequate for day-to-day tasks and even some light gaming.

For those looking for a rugged phone that looks good and comes with lots of great features, it’s hard to look past the Doogee S98. See Doogee for more.

Mozilla, in partnership with the Aga Khan University, is making its brand new Pocket app available in Kenya.

Built on both Android and iOS platforms, the app allows users to access the written and visual content of their choice and even save it for offline browsing at a later date.

The popular Read Later bookmark service has client apps on the iPhone, iPad, and even the Mac, including a browser extension and a dedicated reading app.

The partnership with the Aga Khan University will ensure that local content is curated and distributed to better optimize the product to meet the needs of Kenyan online users.

Speaking at the launch, Pocket Mozilla Vice President and General Manager Matt Koidin said their mission is to ensure the internet becomes a global public resource that is open and accessible to everyone.

“We believe in an Internet that puts people first, where individuals can shape their own experience, are empowered, safe and independent. Through Pocket, we empower people to discover, organize, consume and sharing content that matters to them. The ability for users to save articles to ‘read later’ will be transformative. We believe that together with our Kenyan partners, we will continue to improve the app for Kenyans,” said said Matt.

Articles saved in Pocket are free of ads and formatting, which limits memory storage requirements, and users can also control how much memory they allow Pocket to use. Additionally, downloads are only possible via Wi-Fi to meet the needs of cost-conscious users who often have limited bandwidth.

“The Aga Khan University’s Media Innovation Center has partnered with Mozilla to identify and work with a team of curators who have brought together compelling and exceptional content from East Africa. For the first time, we have a series of collections from outstanding Kenyan curators who bring fresh perspectives from Kenya and East Africa,” said Dr Njoki Chege, Director of the Media Innovation Center.

Known globally for its popular Firefox web browser, Mozilla is a vibrant global community whose mission is to promote openness, innovation and opportunity on the web. Mozilla claims to create products that put people back in control of their connected lives and advocates for public policies that improve the health of the internet by creating and promoting open, interoperable standards that enable innovation and advance the web as a open and accessible platform for everything.

A few months ago we reviewed the MNT Reform, which attempts to bring the dream of fully open-source hardware to an audience that doesn’t want to design and build a laptop totally from scratch. Now MNT is bringing its open hardware philosophy to a second PC, a 7-inch “Pocket Reform” laptop that harkens back to the design of old clamshell Pocket PCs, just as the big Reform references the design of the big ThinkPads of the 1960s. 90.

The Pocket Reform borrows many design impulses from the large Reform laptop, including a low-profile mechanical keyboard and trackball-based pointing device and a chunky, retro design. The device includes a 7-inch 1080p display, a pair of USB-C ports (one of which is used for charging), a microSD slot for storage expansion, and a micro HDMI port for connecting to a display when you are at your desk.

The purple case of the Pocket Reform at least looks a bit sleeker than the chunky black case of the full-size Reform.
Enlarge / The purple case of the Pocket Reform at least looks a bit sleeker than the chunky black case of the full-size Reform.

DTM

Full reform is an interesting exercise in open source hardware and software, although a computer built around openness makes a lot of compromises that you don’t have to do with a “closed” system. Our biggest complaint about the Big Reform was its miserably slow ARM processor, which won’t change for the Pocket Reform even as MNT continues to work on slightly more powerful processor options. You’ll be able to at least augment the device’s default 802.11ac Wi-Fi with a cellular modem and SIM card.

MNT has also been careful to address a few of our complaints about the big overhaul since we reviewed it, including adding reinforced metal side panels to cover the ports and a redesigned battery system that won’t leave the batteries will discharge completely if the laptop is left. unplugged.

The version of Pocket Reform in the ad isn’t ready to launch yet, and MNT says it represents “near final specs and design.” For users interested in Pocket Reform’s impending early beta program, there’s a newsletter sign-up link at the bottom of the announcement.

The community uses dedicated Discord servers as a discussion forum and place of sale to spread malware families such as “Lunar”, “Snatch” or “Rift”, which follow the current malware-as-a-service trend. Discussion forums reveal that age-related slurs are thrown around almost daily. The kids also revealed their ages, discussed the idea of hacking teachers and their school systems, and mentioned their parents in conversations. In a Discord group focused on selling “Lunar,” there were more than 1.5k users, of which about 60-100 had a “customer” role, meaning they paid for the builder. The prices of malware creation tools vary depending on the type of tool and the duration of access to the tool.

The types of teen-traded malware target both minors and adults and offer options such as stealing passwords and private information, cryptomining, and even ransomware. For example, if a customer purchases a construction tool and chooses to use it for data theft, the generated sample will send all stolen data to that particular customer who generated and distributed it. Or, if a client uses a tool to generate a ransomware sample, the victim will be prompted to send money to that particular client’s cryptowallet. Other prominent features include stealing game accounts, deleting Fortnite or Minecraft folders, or repeatedly opening a web browser containing adult content, seemingly just to prank others.

“These communities can be appealing to kids and teens because hacking is considered cool and fun, malware creators provide an affordable and easy way to hack someone and brag about it to your peers, and even a way to make money from ransomware, cryptomining and selling user data,” said Jan Holman, researcher at Avast Malware “However, these activities are by no means harmless, they are criminal. They can have significant personal and legal consequences, especially if children expose their own and their families’ identities online or if purchased malware actually infects children’s computers, leaving their families vulnerable by letting them use the device concerned. Their data, including online accounts and bank details, can be leaked to cybercriminals,” Holman added.

Distribution of malware via YouTube

After purchasing and compiling their custom malware sample, some customers use YouTube to market and distribute their malware. Avast researchers have seen customers create a YouTube video purporting to show information about a hacked game, or game cheat, that they linked to. However, the URL actually leads to their malware instead. To build trust for their video, they ask other people on Discord to like and leave comments under the video, endorsing it and saying it’s genuine. In some cases, they even asked other people to say that if their antivirus software detects the file as malicious, it’s a false positive.

“This technique is quite insidious because instead of fake accounts and bots, real people are used to upvote harmful content. As genuine accounts work together to positively comment on the content, the malicious link seems more trustworthy, and in as such can trick more people into downloading it,” comments Jan Holman.

By monitoring online communities, Avast found that while group members support each other with cybercrime, partly as pranks, but also as stealing information and money, there are also conversations that easily become quite turbulent. A considerable amount of fighting, instability and intimidation among users with “cut-throat” competition that goes so far as to appropriate someone else’s code base and slander it has been observed.

Malware builders are tools that allow users to generate malicious files without having to program anything. Typically, users only need to select features and customize details such as the icon. There are several vendor-based malware families that have similar user interfaces with slightly different layouts, color schemes, names, and logos. These are usually short-lived projects based on source code from GitHub or another vendor, rebranded with a new logo and name, sometimes slightly modified or modified with new features.

Avast created detections protecting users from samples spreading across servers and contacted Discord to inform them of these groups. Discord has confirmed that it has taken steps to address these types of communities and has banned servers associated with Avast discoveries.

How to protect children from dark online activities:

It is very important to teach kids to critique attractive offers, such as new game features not available in official stores or pre-release versions of popular games. Parents should also educate children about the importance of password security and tell them never to share their passwords with others, even if they claim to be their friends or a game master offering help. For the youngest, it is crucial not to reveal any personal information when playing on multiplayer platforms, such as Discord or the game Minecraft. Moreover, children always need ethical advice on what is right or wrong, also in the digital space. What may seem adventurous and fun can cause serious harm to others and be a real criminal offence. Young children may think they are safe because they are not yet legally responsible, but their parents are. It is important for parents to tell their children about this.

Discord also shared with Avast that they advise parents to help customize the child’s settings to prevent them from receiving messages from strangers. You can find more safety tips for parents on the Discord Blog.

MNT Reform makers began shipping their modular, open-source laptop to backers last year following a successful crowdfunding campaign launched in 2020.

Now they are preparing to launch a brand new device. And this time it’s… smaller. The MNT pocket reform is a 7-inch mini laptop with an ortholinear keyboard, a modular (and customizable) design, and a focus on open hardware and open source software.

MNT has been working on the Pocket Reform since last year, but now the team has revealed the near-final design and specs, including:

  • 7-inch screen, 1920 x 1080 pixels
  • 60-key keyboard with ortholinear design and Kailh Choc White mechanical key switches and RGB backlighting
  • 10mm optical trackball with 4 buttons

At the heart of the system is a removable system-on-module (SOM) with processor and memory. The standard module will feature a 1.8 GHz NXP i.MX8M Plus Quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor with Vivante GC7000UL graphics and neural processing unit plus 4GB or 8GB of DDR4 memory. But other options include:

  • NXP Layerscape LS1028A chip with 2 ARM Cortex-A72 cores, Vivante GC7000UL graphics and 8GB or 16GB DDR4 memory
  • Raspberry Pi CM4 with 4 ARM Cortex-A72 CPU cores, VideoCore graphics, 8GB DDR4 RAM (and an adapter)
  • Pine64 SOQuartz RK3566 with 4 ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores, Malie-G52 graphics, 8GB RAM (and an adapter)
  • AMD/Xilinx Kintex-7 FPGA (with support for RISC-V or other architectures)

The modules are also interchangeable with the full-size MNT Reform, meaning if you already have a module for the 12.5-inch laptop, it should work with the newer 7-inch model, and vice versa.

The Pocket Reform measures approximately 200 x 126 x 45mm (7.9″ x 5″ x 1.8″) and has a built-in ono speaker, microphone (with a hardware kill switch that lets you to deactivate it when not in use) and two USB Type-C ports, a micro HDMI port, an Ethernet socket and a microSD card reader.

For storage, the system supports up to 128GB of eMMC flash storage and also has an M.2 slot for up to 2TB of PCIe NVMe solid-state storage. The system is powered by an 8000 mAh battery.

Wireless capabilities vary by SOM, but if you opt for the default NXP i.MX8M Plus configuration, you’ll get WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 support out of the box. There’s also optional support for a WWAN card and a SIM card slot if you want to add 4G or 5G cellular support.

MNT says supported operating systems include GNU/Linux distributions such as Debian, Arch, and Ubuntu as well as other software including Plane 9 and Genode. OpenBSD support is considered a work in progress.

One thing the company has yet to announce? Pricing. But MNT plans to start taking pre-orders for a beta version of Pocket Reform in July in a bid to get the hardware into the hands of hackers and software interested in helping troubleshoot the device before it becomes more widely available. .

People who want to help with beta testing can sign up for the Pocket Reform newsletter or keep an eye on the MNT Community Forum for more details.

‘It all comes out of your own pocket’: Insurance agents step in to give away freebies at roadshows https://4pcsoft.com/it-all-comes-out-of-your-own-pocket-insurance-agents-step-in-to-give-away-freebies-at-roadshows/ Sat, 25 Jun 2022 22:00:14 +0000 https://4pcsoft.com/it-all-comes-out-of-your-own-pocket-insurance-agents-step-in-to-give-away-freebies-at-roadshows/ SINGAPORE: A disgruntled mother last week took to Facebook to complain about an AIA insurance agent who gave her daughter a ball at a roadshow, only to take it back after realizing the mother n was not an appropriate prospect. SINGAPORE: A disgruntled mother last week took to Facebook to complain about an AIA insurance agent who gave her daughter a ball at a roadshow, only to take it back after realizing the mother n was not an appropriate prospect.

Netizens slammed the agent for his ‘cheapskate’, saying the decision to take the ball back was ‘humble’.

But the insurance agents and financial advisors CNA spoke to were split on the issue, with some disapproving of the agent’s behavior while others said it was understandable.

Indeed, the expenses related to road shows, such as rent, logistics costs and gifts, are generally borne by the agents.

“I’m not surprised to see agents behaving like this, because even if they want to make a good living, they have to protect themselves,” said Jack (pseudonym), who has been an agent for two years.

“Everything comes from their own pocket. If they do not handle it well, it is easy for them to have financial difficulties.

“I know there are consultants who are facing financial difficulties, that’s why they got a little desperate and resorted to this to cut costs…the internet says this person is cheap , but it really depends on the perspective.”

Costs for roadshows vary depending on factors such as location and type of giveaways, but participating in one can cost you an average of S$100 per day, according to agents.

Another financial adviser, who only wanted to be known as Gary, added that while agencies can co-sponsor the event, agents still have to disburse the money on their own.

Rent is also higher these days, said Gary, who has worked in the industry for 14 years.

He added that agents attending roadshows tend to be juniors or new graduates trying to build their networks.

GENEROSITY IS IMPORTANT

Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) Guidelines stipulate that financial institutions must ensure that gifts offered to customers do not “unduly influence” their decisions to purchase a financial product or service.

But beyond that, there is no specific guidance on giving or taking gifts.

Because it’s a “grey area,” agents often defer to their mentors, especially if tour costs are split among a group of agents, insurance agent Han Yao said. fung.

But in such a case, generosity is sometimes the key, he said.

“You give a little, you get a little more in return. That kind of small money, don’t think too much, don’t be so calculating,” said Han, who has been an agent for five years.

For example, giving away the ball in such a case could allow him to establish a relationship with a prospect.

“If we vibrate well, I can give you my business card. If you like me, we can see each other over coffee… If I make new friends, it’s because I have a new contact on my list.

“If the time comes (when the person is) ready, he will get something from me, and if he thinks my service is good, he will refer people to me. It’s a very friendly cycle.

Amanda (pseudonym), who has been an agent for less than a year, had similar views.

“I firmly believe that building human relationships is far more important than selling a product.

“I certainly wouldn’t trust my money to someone who has little social conscience and clearly only cares about their own interests.”

The officer also could have done better by being “more candid” and explaining the situation more clearly, Gary said.

ENSURE AGENTS FOLLOW GUIDELINES

He also noted that the incident has unfairly generated negative reactions towards insurance agents and financial advisors as a whole.

“Maybe 95% of us work through referrals and good financial planning, but the incident puts practitioners in a bad light,” Gary said.

Insurance companies and industry associations contacted by CNA did not provide statistics on complaints about agents’ marketing activities.

But in response to questions, AIA Singapore said it takes customer feedback seriously and will investigate the conduct of its representatives if necessary.

He added that his touring guidelines are aligned with MAS’ standards of conduct for marketing and distribution activities.

“We recognize that this is an ongoing effort to maintain and elevate the standards of professionalism of our representatives, and we will continue to conduct regular reviews and updates of our internal processes accordingly.”

Prudential, another major insurer, said its financial advisers are aware of the standards of conduct to be followed, and these are communicated through induction programs and training.

Consultants must also pass assessments on sales consulting standards before they can participate in roadshows.

“We also do checks to make sure (consultants) are complying with roadshow guidelines and follow up if there are any comments on non-compliance.”

Consultants can also face disciplinary action, such as being banned from engaging in marketing activities for a period of time, he said.

B&H is delighted to announce the updated Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2, which replaces the popular Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K model. The G2 6K retains many great features of 6K such as the Super 35 6144 x 3456 HDR sensor, an EF lens mount, Blackmagic Raw format, CFast 2.0 and SD card slots and mini XLR audio inputs. But the 6K G2 adds extra features and sports the form factor of the 6K Pro, including an L-series battery slot and a 5-inch tilting touchscreen LCD (at lower brightness than the 6K Pro, though). but it leaves out the internal ND filters. Audio streaming service Pocket FM has launched in-app advertising solutions to accelerate its revenue growth. “We have spearheaded the creation of categories for audio streaming with innovations and our unique storytelling capabilities guiding us towards sustainable and profitable growth. The marketing and advertising community has shown immense interest in our advertising solutions because of its ability to optimize brand engagement without disrupting the listener experience,” said Manish Nagar, Head of Agency Relations, Pocket FM.

The company says it has run numerous experimental campaigns with over 100 brands to explore the best audio innovations and delivered engaging brand solutions to brands including One Plus, Croma, Amazon Prime, Fino Banking Payments, and Hero Vired, among others.

“For a relatively new platform to produce such innovations in the OTT audio category is a great thing. But winning an award for it in the first six months is an even greater achievement. We are happy to have partnered with Pocket FM and for trying, testing and approving its prowess. A first of its kind for our category, really,” said Anand Bhatia, Chief Marketing Officer, FINO Banking Payments.

Pocket FM’s solution allows brands to engage with the listening community with a personalized approach. The company claims to have over 15 million monthly active listeners on the app and an average daily time spent of over 100 minutes. It has raised $93.6 million to date and is backed by investors including Lightspeed, Times Internet, Tanglin Venture Partners, Goodwater Capital and Naver.
