Ankha is one of the most popular villagers in the Animal Crossing series, so it makes sense that she’ll be joining Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp soon.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp could soon receive a new character: the Egyptian cat villager Ankha. Ankha has long been a favorite in the animal crossing series due to its unique and historically influenced design. That she still hasn’t made it to the phone game is a bit odd, but early 2022 could finally be the time for her to join. Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.

The game just received the 5.0 update on January 26, 2022. The Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp The update doubles the number of villagers players can have at a campsite, meaning those with the app can now house 16 villagers instead of 8. With this upgrade, it seems logical that future updates bring more popular villagers like Ankha to the game.

Update 5.0 did not bring any new villagers to Animal Crossing: Pocket Campso the game is late for characters fresh out of their Animal Crossing: New Horizons he is. Currently, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has 286 of the 488 villagers available in the series. The most recent addition of villagers to the app being October 28, 2o21, introducing a few more to reduce Animal Crossing: New Horizons and pocket camp the differences could be significant for the application. Ankha seems to be a top priority for other villagers – at least in the future.

Ankha appeared in An Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Data Mine

Ankha from Animal Crossing New Horizons

Although the promise to bring new villagers was not made, at least the data mining promised that there are registered villagers who could join Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp in future updates. A datamining excursion on Animal Crossing: Pocket CampLine’s official account shows that 127 villagers are registered and ready to join the app, although these villagers do not appear in any assets of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. Ankha is one of four cats on this list, which proves that there is at least some interest in bringing the cat into the game.

In effect, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp needs a character like Ankha. While the application has been popular since its release, Animal Crossing: New Horizons eclipse pocket camp in terms of relevance. The app’s initial success may have only been due to its release between a dry spell in the main series games. In addition, a lot of downloads came in the week New Horizons released, with pocket camp downloads making 800% after the release of the Switch title (according to pocket gamer). Thus, without New Horizons, Pocket Camp may become irrelevant. And no new updates coming Animal Crossing: New Horizons and no estimated dates for future games, the phone app needs to find ways to keep fans interested.

Ankha would serve as a temporary solution for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. As one of animal crossingS-level villagers, many fans are undoubtedly waiting for the Egyptian cat to come to the game. Corn Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp updates have been unpredictable so far, hopefully Nintendo can bring in Ankha and other new villagers soon.

The Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp 5.0 update has been released and includes an increase in the number of villagers players can house in their campsite.

mobile game Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp received a major update this week, including doubling the number of villagers players can house in their campsite. The game has received over 60 million downloads and has continued to receive constant updates since its release in 2017. Although the game has seen a slight dip in popularity since Animal Crossing: New Horizons was released in 2020, pocket camp still maintains an active player base worldwide.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp offers players a miniaturized version of the animal crossing experience, giving them a campsite to run, decorate, and fill with animal villagers. Outside of forming friendships with villagers, the gameplay mainly focuses on two things: obtaining limited-time rare items to decorate their campsite, and limited-time events focusing on activities like gardening and fishing. The game received criticism that unlike other entries in the animal crossing series, pocket camp contains microtransactions. A new currency, Leaf Tickets, is used to purchase special items either directly or through fortune cookies, the game’s version of loot boxes. They can also be used to speed up progress during in-game events. Players can still earn Leaf Tickets in-game without purchase, but their progress will be considerably slower.

the pocket camp The team announced the game’s 5.0 update on Twitter this week, outlining several new changes to the title. One of the biggest is the increase in the number of villagers allowed at player campsites from 8 to 16. The update introduced new ways for players to integrate the game with their smartphone – a new pocket camp widget can be placed on user home screens which will display the date next to quotes from animal crossing villagers, and the game can now be linked to a phone’s pedometer and display daily in-game steps. A new Pocket Planner feature will help players track in-game events and item release windows. Finally, a new paid subscription has been announced: for 99 cents per month, the Merry Memories subscription will allow players to purchase new designs for their diary, as well as use special stickers to mark special memories with their villagers. . Subscribers will also receive more seasonal rewards as well as 20 Leaf Tickets per month.

While the expansion of potential campsite members is exciting, the rest of this announcement has largely fallen flat with players. Two subscriptions for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp were already available: the Happy Helper plan and the Furniture & Fashion plan for monthly payments of $2.99 and $7.99 respectively. The inclusion of more microtransactions – specifically a subscription service that simply lets players buy more stuff – didn’t sit well with many fans of the series. Additionally, the new Merry Memories plan doesn’t offer enough free Leaf Tickets to buy a single loot box or special item – a fortune cookie requires 50 Leaf Tickets, and special items cost an average of 250.

Other than the extra campers, this update wasn’t what many fans were hoping for. Requested things like new locations and events have been replaced with microtransactions, which have long been one of the biggest complaints players have about Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. However, some fans remain hopeful that the AAnimal Crossing: Pocket Camp The developers, who have always been consistent in updating the game, will consider player feedback in the next update.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has been available on mobile for over four years and has proven popular enough to still be supported and receive regular updates. It certainly captures a lot of the charm that makes its Switch pal Animal Crossing: New Horizons so successful, except that it takes an alternate style with microtransactions (it’s free, after all).

Its latest big update is rolling out today and adds some notable features. First of all, it’s doubling the number of animals that can be invited to your campsite from 8 for 16, which is a welcome jump. It also adds an optional smart device widget that you can put on your device’s home screen, a nice touch and another way to open the game.

Beyond that, most of the reveal video focuses on a new Pocket Planner, which does exactly what you’d expect; it’s a way to track activities, items, and events. This leads to the new “Merry Memories Plan”, which is a paid monthly pass that gives you access to additional planner customization, a pedometer feature, and more seasonal event rewards. It costs $0.99 per month and also includes 20-sheet tickets every four weeks.

Whether this Merry Memories plan is good value for money depends a lot on how enthusiastic and often you dive into Pocket Camp, although at least the main update (more visitors, widget and Pocket Planner from basis) is free.

Do you plan to check out this update? Let us know in the comments!

An Animal Crossing: New Horizons player shared artwork this week featuring ACNH villagers in classic Polly Pocket clamshell dollhouses.

A Animal Crossing: New Horizons player shared a shiny crossover artwork this week, showing animal crossing characters in classic Polly Pocket clamshell dollhouses. One of the central elements of the game is the creativity of the user, as well as the lush environment and the unique characters of animal crossing inspire a lot of player art, both inside and outside the game.

Polly Pocket dolls have been around since 1989 and are famous for their tiny rubber accessories and clamshell dollhouses. While the brand has moved away from that dollhouse design in recent years, the clamshell style is still very nostalgic for those who have known it since childhood. animal crossing is a series of games centered around player choice and creativity, giving them the ability to design an entire island the way they want. Users can also choose all ten anthropomorphic animal characters to populate their town, with the game offering 413 unique villagers for players to choose from. animal crossing villagers have 8 different personality types and span 35 different species, each having a house interior with a different themed aesthetic.

Reddit user PeachyLeee shared a collection of their works this week, showing several animal crossing villagers in different environments, all enclosed in a clamshell case. Known as lillianimation on other platforms, this artist has designed a total of 45 Polly-Pocket-style villagers so far. Each of these rooms is clearly designed with the aesthetics and personality of the villager in mind, as well as the interior design of their home. For example, the somewhat unsettling villager Lucky’s shell is themed around a graveyard – much like her house – while the flamingo villager Flora is a relaxing seaside scene much like the interior of her house. at animal crossing (which has a pond). Each illustration is incredibly detailed, with some even containing Easter eggs for fans of the game: Lucky’s hull stained glass appears to have a long shelf life. animal crossing the character Rover and bunny sisters Chrissy and Francine can be seen on a poster in Sylvana’s bedroom.

Click here to see the original post on Reddit.

Using the classic Polly Pocket clamshell design makes these works of art incredibly unique and nostalgic. The time when this style of dollhouse was most popular – the early 2000s – coincided with the release of the first animal crossing game, making this work particularly sentimental for those who were fans of both. The artist clearly knows a lot about animal crossing – the high level of detail in each piece can only come from someone familiar with the series and the characters. While there have been a few animal crossing toys available for fans to purchase, they cannot compare to the level of detail shown here.

Part of Why Animal Crossing is so loved by fans is its unique art style, both in its environments and its meticulously crafted characters. The game is about creating a community, and the fact that Animal Crossing: New Horizons includes over 400 villagers to choose from, giving players a huge amount of options when it comes to who makes up this community. This impressive piece of art shows how the game’s multitude of villager choices are all special in their own way.

Avid Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans often hate the series’ phone game, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. They envy its constant updates, gorgeous furnishings, and other features that are all so consistently maintained. Of course, that’s because Pocket Camp, like most phone games, is full of microtransactions that earn Nintendo millions of dollars, whereas New Horizons is a one-time purchase.

When Update 2.0 and the game’s first DLC, Happy Home Paradise, was announced and released, many (but not all) of New Horizons players’ frustrations were allayed. However, we couldn’t help but notice that some of these additions looked awfully familiar. Here are some changes to New Horizons that are pulled straight from Pocket Camp.

6 Furniture and clothing

Animal Crossing Pocket Camp on left, player in cabin, Animal Crossing New Horizons on player right in Maple's vacation home

A big sticking point for many gamers was that the phone game offered far more varied and interesting furniture and clothing options than New Horizons. And, looking at all the items that tempt you in Pocket Camp, it’s hard to disagree! Heck, you can have a living, breathing, moving bird perched on your head like a hat!

While Animal Crossing: New Horizons update 2.0 and the Happy Home Paradise DLC didn’t exactly bring all of the game’s wonderful items to the phone, they did add a significant number of new clothing and furniture options that players will have fun discovering and experimenting. for the months to come.

5 Gardening

Gardens - Animal Crossing Pocket Camp on the left, Animal Crossing New Horizons on the right

In Pocket Camp, players garden with flowers like in New Horizons, but they’ve also been gardening with food, like eggplant, long before New Horizons’ 2.0 update.

RELATED: Animal Crossing 20th Anniversary: All Animal Crossing Games, Ranked

Although the Switch game technically had food gardening in the form of pumpkins for a while, it was really just a way to get pumpkins for Halloween. More in-depth and varied gardening, like in Pocket Camp, was added in Update 2.0.

4 Cooking

Crafting menu in Animal Crossing Pocket Camp on the left and player cooking pancakes in Animal Crossing New Horizons on the right

Following the addition of more harvestable foods in New Horizons, a cooking mechanic has also been included! It allows players to combine their ingredients into delicious and hearty meals. Meal crafting was already a mechanic in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, but the two games take different approaches to the concept.

In New Horizons, you catch fish for fish meals, harvest fruit for fruit salads, grind wheat into flour, and more. Meanwhile, in Pocket Camp, you can make many of the same recipes, but they’re made with the same resources as all of the other craftable items are. You don’t make a sushi platter by catching fish (although you can do that), you make it by combining “Wood”, “Preserves” and “Harmonious Essence”.

3 The marketplace

Harv's Island in Animal Crossing New Horizons on the right, Market Square in Animal Crossing Pocket Camp on the left

A huge draw of Update 2.0 for New Horizons was Harv’s Island, which morphed into a common for many NPCs you only see occasionally, whether because they only visit your island. once a week, whether they’re seasonal or weren’t even in the game before! You can buy from sellers, have your future predicted, access your inventory, the works!

Of course, something incredibly similar was already present in Pocket Camp. In the app game, this is called the Marketplace, and just like the Commune, it features characters not found elsewhere during gameplay. In some cases, these are literally the same characters as the Commune, such as the Truck Reese and Cyrus!

Cabin in Animal Crossing Pocket Camp on the left, villagers in their vacation home in Animal Crossing New Horizons on the right

Your personal spaces to decorate in Pocket Camp are your campsite and your RV. However, the game adds several more ways to test your decorating skills as you play, including a two-story cabin and dozens of decorating lessons!

Animal Crossing: New Horizons follows Pocket Camp’s lead by adding extra space to decorate. This comes in the DLC, Happy Home Paradise, in which players can decorate vacation homes for dozens of animal friends! Each villager has their own piece of land and a house, both of which are fully customizable – even more customizable than your own house on your island! In fact, it’s not just houses; you can also decorate your own restaurants, schools, hospitals and more!

1 More active and accessible villagers

Villager, Animal Crossing Pocket Camp on the left, Animal Crossing New Horizons on the right

In Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, the various NPCs are awake at all times of the day to talk to you, even if they say they are sleepy. They also play with the different objects you place in your campsite, whether it’s a simple display or a full picnic! New Horizons villagers simply wander around the island; that looks pretty disappointing in comparison.

Luckily, the 2.0 update included some new features that brought villagers much closer to those in Pocket Camp. One of the cutest is that villagers can now visit you at home! They may offer you a snack or just make snarky and passive aggressive comments about your furniture choices. They can also now match your own sleep schedule with the introduction of Island Ordinances! Although they may not always be available, they may go to bed late if you do, or rise early like you! Another island ordinance keeps your villagers busy pulling weeds and watering flowers around the island. It’s (unfortunately) still not on the level of its phone gaming counterpart, but it certainly comes very close.

New villagers are expected to appear in Update 2.0 for Animal crossing: new horizons appeared at the beginning Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.

The eight new villagers were teased in Nintendo Direct update 2.0 and have now been fully revealed. on the official of the game Twitter, although more information has been provided in Pocket camp itself (and as reported by Siliconera). You can find a recap of all the new villagers and their personalities below.

Ione (Normal) – Ione’s tail looks like a starry sky. She’s usually pretty calm, but she’ll talk to you if you ask her about the constellations.

Quinn (Sisterly) – Quinn is known for her super cool style. To maintain her reputation, she always dresses to go out, even if she’s just going to the grocery store.

Cephalobot (Smug) – With his metallic body and sci-fi flair, Cephalobot looks like he can shoot laser beams from his eyes. Wait… He can’t really do that, can he?

Marlo (Cranky) – Rumor has it that Marlo runs some sort of underground organization. No one knows for sure because everyone is too afraid to ask.

Sacha (Lazy) – Sasha loves to take selfies. He looks exactly the same in every photo, but that doesn’t prevent him from taking a hundred a day.

Shino (Peppy) – Shino appears to be the quiet and mysterious type – before she starts talking, that is. She tries to befriend everyone she meets and will likely tell them her whole life story in the process.

Petri dish (Snooty) – Petri is still doing research. When she’s close to a breakthrough, she’ll stay in her lab for days at a time… so maybe bring her a snack.

Tiansheng (Jock) – Tiansheng insists that his shoes help him run faster. He always runs to his destinations, so he never takes them off… which makes it hard to test his theory.

What seems to have caught many fans off guard is that Sasha is a boy. Despite his long eyelashes and his overly long jacket almost forming a dress, he is a male character; even his Japanese name is Mitchell (??). In New Horizons, players can gift a villager any type of top, be it dresses, jackets, etc.

Finally, the Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will also host a special event until November 10. The event will allow players to obtain new decorations and clothing based on New Horizons. Even the next one The paradise of happy homes The DLC appears to be involved.

the Animal crossing: new horizons Update 2.0 will be released on November 5. It will also be the last major update to the game, although paid DLC has been announced – the The paradise of happy homes.

Animal crossing: new horizons is available on Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it, you can find our review here (we recommend it!)
