Zotac’s latest Windows 11 desktop PC fits in your pocket
PC maker Zotac used Computex 2022 this week to unveil a new user-friendly desktop PC, and I’m not talking about the price.
The Zbox PI336 Pico(Opens in a new window) is a small, passively cooled Windows 11 PC. Measuring just 4.6 x 3 x 0.8 inches, it will slip easily into a shirt or jeans pocket. The PI336 comes with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed and is powered by an Intel Celeron N6211 dual-core processor with UHD Graphics (running at 1.2GHz and up to 3GHz) and paired with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM.
Storage comes in the form of a 128GB eMMC drive and connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth 5.2, three USB 3.1 Gen2 ports including a Type-C port, headphone/microphone combo jack and a Micro SDHC card reader.
While it won’t break any performance records and is sure to get pretty hot under heavy sustained workloads, Zotac says the PI336 can cope with a dual-display setup using both HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort ports. 1.4 included, both of which support resolutions up to 2160p. .
If you don’t want to carry around this tiny PC, Zotac includes a mounting bracket and screws to hide it behind a monitor. Zotac also includes a USB stick for OS recovery, which is a refreshing accessory to ship as standard. Potential owners will also be happy to hear that the AC adapter doesn’t have a brick, it’s just a slightly bulkier wall outlet.

Zotac didn’t reveal the price or launch date for this tiny PC, but for reference, the previous model Zbox PI335 Pico running Windows 10 Pro was priced at $229.99. I suspect the price of the PI336 will be slightly higher as electronics manufacturers plan to increase their prices by 20% or more soon. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Zotac launch the PI336 at $279.99.
